"Sleeping in and during this film"

Films: Sleeping Beauty (2014)

Alias: The moat dragon, the undead, the lizard-man

Type: Mystical

Location: Haunted Home

Height/Weight: Ranges from that of average humans to that of an average elephant.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: What?! We didn't do anything for "Maleficent" nor its sequel?! How could we?! Well, that's very simple. We were already stretching it thin with "John Carter", but our faith in Disney is at such an all-time low right now that we just couldn't be bothered. So instead, we look at yet another limp Asylum flick.

History: On her first birthday, the innocent Princess Dawn was cursed to fall into eternal slumber by the vile Queen Tambria. Should the young one ever prick her finger on a spinning wheel, the curse will take its hold over her. Naturally through trickery, Tambria makes sure Dawn falls asleep anyway, and the kingdom falls into ruin not long after. But a noble prince and his motely crew have caught wind of her plight, and go to the abandoned castle to rescue her. Tambria of course won't let that happen, and has an army of monsters to stop them.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: After all creatures have been thwarted or killed, Tambria herself is stabbed in the gut by the prince, who had already awakened Dawn with a kiss, and not long after, the kingdom returns to prosperity as he and the princess marry.

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 2-The monsters here are total chumps. Even the hounds from that "Snow White" film last year could fold their asses. The moat dragon can be warded off with a sword hit, the undead fall down easily, and the poor lizard-man, while it does put up more of a fight than the rest, is taken out in the most anti-climactic way possible. Honestly, Tambria herself is more intimidating, if only because one of her own kills involves RIPPING A GUY'S HEAD OFF WITH THE SPINE STILL ATTACHED WITH HER BARE HANDS! Quite impressive, bad acting aside.

Trivia: -We have heard of at least one other interpretation of the classic fairy tale in which the evil queen continues to try to kill the princess' family, even wanting to eat them as pastries, only to be scared into jumping into the very same snake pit she threatened to put them into by the prince. It was an...interesting picture book back in third grade. It was also somewhat based on a story by the Brothers Grimm, so what do we know?

-The original story came from 1568's "Perceforest", a romantic tale with no evil queen or fairies, just some...unfortunate implications revolving around the eternal slumber being caused by the lady waiting for a guy to do great things to win her favor, getting impregnated by him during her sleep (all those jokes about the modern take owe their lives to this), and somehow still wanting to marry him after it all.
